Katie brings with her wealth of land development experience from both the municipal and consulting side. Katie was chosen among 17 candidates by the Urban Land Institute for Women Leadership Initiative award in 2021. Katie is always seeking to identify opportunities to add value for the clients and to further the growth of character and place for the projects she is leading. Upon her completion of her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, in India, Katie wanted to use her design experience in planning further and pursued his postgraduate studies in Urban Planning from the premier institute of planning in India – School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Upon her arrival in Canada and to understand Ontario planning legislation better she perused Masters in Planning from the University of Waterloo.

Katie is a registered MCIP, RPP with over 15 years of experience practicing land use and development planning within Ontario. Her role as Associate, Land Use Planning in Weston consulting charged with managing complex development projects. In this capacity, she is responsible for overseeing a team of planning and design professionals whose mandate is to provide a full range of land use planning services. Katie has also served as an expert witness for the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) in various locations such as VMC, Markham, Hamilton, Bradford West, and TLAB.

Previously, Katie was Senior Planner with the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. Katie’s unique knowledge of clients’ interests coupled with her experience with municipal staff, external agencies and sub-consultants contributed to a timely, smooth and productive consultation and approvals process. Katie is currently a part-time professor for Land Use Planning at Seneca School of Environment and Civil Engineering Technology.
