Located at Cumberland and New Street in the ever-evolving City of Burlington, Weston managed the Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment Process including comprehensive public consultation and urban design review to facilitate the development of a 7 Storey retirement home building. The 132-unit development had unique site constraints and feedback received from the community required careful consideration of how to transition the building mass, height and setbacks to better integrate into the existing community. Projection for Trees, community amenity space and other streetscape and connectivity considerations were key to the projects success.
This thoughtful approach ensured that the development not only met the city’s evolving needs but also fostered a harmonious relationship with the surrounding neighborhood, enhancing Burlington’s urban landscape.
